| My wife and I went for a game viewing drive when we came accross one of the breeding herds of eliphant. These two young bulls were trunk wrestling (like we arm wrestle) while a third younger member was looking on and taking tips. The young bulls stay with the breeding herd until they are mature enough to go into must and then the matriarch female and her helpers push them out of the herd. They then stay out until they are big enough to take on the ruling bull, and if one wins , he mates with the females. The photo was taken with a Canon Powershot A85. |

Hi Andre,
Well captured moment. You have to react fast to make these gret Photos. I do feel the photo could use some more contrast and saturation.
TFS,

That's quite a capture, Andre. I don't know how I missed it. I agree that a little more contrast might give even more impact to this scene.

You have to be fast on your feet too. There is a park in India with a lot of elephants, but occasionally they chase tourists, and I cannot currently run. So your picture is great and fills the bill for wild elephants!
