|Talicada nyseus, the red Pierrot, is a small but striking butterfly found in the Indian subcontinent and South-East Asia belonging to the lycaenids, or blues family. The red Pierrots, often found perching on the Kalanchoe plant, are usually noticed due to their striking patterns and colors.|

A lovely mating capture of one of my favorite tiny butterflies. The Red Pierrot is such a beautifully marked species with its bold orange, coal black and snow white colors. Great close-up shot!
Winter is inevitable thus I see fewer and fewer butterflies these days as it slowly approaches here in Ohio.
Lovely colorful specie which I always admire in photos but never in the wild....
