As in their name, Southern Giant Petrels belong to wildest, scariest, one of the best fliers of the southern oceans. Here i like it a lot, how close they fly to surface of the sea like a bombardment jet.

In Chilean waters, you can see many pelagic sea birds, including magellanic diving petrel but our many attemps to see this elusive bird failed... We got some other good birds though.

Hi Emin,

An interesting bird captured with a nice POV but the light seems to be bit harsh as there is a dark shadow of the bird on the ocean surface. Its really interesting that a bird of this size almost skims the surface of the ocean like this.

Warm Regards,

Rare species here in TN, this 'Southern Giant Petrel', Emin. You doing great man!
Best wishes,

Hello Emin,
What a compact looking bird with a large stout bill. It looks like a water plane coming in for a landing. Wonderful detail and an excellent action shot. Well done!!
