[Richtlijnen voor opmerkingen] Opmerking van de fotograaf
I had captured this picture of Juvenile Skimmer(?)in our yard.

Potamarcha congener is a species of Dragonfly in the genus Potamarcha. It was first described by Jules Pierre Rambur in 1842, almost fifty years before Friedrich Karsch desvribed its genus.

Species:P.congener(Rambur 1842)

This Dragonfly is found in terrestrial areas with standing water. This can include near small ponds or rice fields.

P.congener is common through much of its range, which stretches through parts of South Asia,South-East Asia, and Oceania, including in countries such as India, Indonesia, China, Australia, and Vietnam.

Hello Srikumar,
Great macro of this dragonfly in beautiful colours, excellent details and background. The blurry wings give the photo dynamic. Taken from the best POV.

Hi Srikumar,
Beautiful Dragonfly ..
Superb focus, natural colours and composition.
Best wishes,

Namste Srikumar

Caught this nice and sharp. Not the easiest to identify. Looks like it is yellow tailed ashy skimmer or have you considered Blue Marsh Hawk Female. With Top view and clear wing spots it should be possible to confirm.

This is, indeed, A SUPERB WOW!!!
No more comments needed.
Mario with kind regards.

good sharpness and beautifuyl colours
thanks gr lou

Very beautiful image. The focus is very good on the body.

Ciao Srikumar, great macro of fantastic dragonfly, fine details, splendid sharpness and wonderful colors, very well done, my friend, ciao Silvio

Hi Sri,
Spectacular macro. Body is sharp enough, which automatically means the closer wings are out of focus, but they aren't disturbing here. Nicely blurred background, nice colors and pleasant composition. A good photo overall.
Best regards, László
