| Inleiding: | The Earth does not belong to us; we belong to the Earth. This we know: all things are connected like the blood which unites one family. Whatever befalls the Earth befalls the Sons and Daughters of the Earth. We did not weave the Web of Life; we are merely a strand in it. Whatever we do to the Web, we do to ourselves. We are part of the earth and it is part of us. The perfumed flowers are our sisters. The wolf, the deer, the great eagle ... these are our brothers. When the last red man has vanished with this wilderness, and his memory is only the shadow of a cloud moving across the land, will the wild wood still be here? Chief Seattle, Suguamish Tribe, 1854. I live in London and work as a graphic designer. I am a novice in photography but have always loved wildlife. As a child I would look at National Geographic in awe of the photographers who take those wonderful photos. I live near Hyde Park so most of my shots are taken there. If I can learn more from this site I will make special trips to more exotic places. I welcome any critiques on any of my photos. | |
