|Inleiding:||Hello and welcome to my Profile page. I joined Trekearth.com back on 01/07/2003 under the same user nameRobbrown as I use here, where you can see my early attempts at posting images.|
At the time wildlife photo's had to be posted there as there was no Treknature and the images tended to get lost in the vast number of travel images that is the real stock in-trade of TE. So shortly after Treklens was born I suggested to Adam who's site this is, that it might be a good idea if we had a separate site for the Wildlife images, he agreed and on 22/07/2004 TN went live and seems to have prospered since.
About me personally.
Well I grow plants for a living and I am based on a 25 acre nursery in the middle of the country side, so wildlife surrounds me all day and the cameras tend to be never very far from hand. Though I always seem to have had a great interest in all things wild. As a child we always had bird tables to feed the birds and fish tanks to view the resulting catches from pond and canal dipping expeditions. so I have a wide interest and never seem to pass up an opportunity to capture almost anything wild that grows or moves.
The early images are all with a now very battered Sony F707 5mps compact camera that has shocked most people with its macro ability. Now though I have just spent lots of money and brought a Nikon D200 and lens and am having to learn all over again how to take photo's.
Hope you like my images, and if you have any questions about the site please feel free to contact me.
