An unusual moment from the life of a lynx ...
Nikon Coolpix 8800 plus 1.7 TC (equals aproximatelly 600mm) taken on high jpeg (usually I do RAW and I recommend that to all since jpegs loose quality), on tripod with ballhead. Finally I am proud of the digital cameras, they got to compete with film ones in quality and the cost of switch is nowhere near as high as price of film and processing (do I sound odd ?!) I shot at least 100 images of this lynx and got probably five I will keep and it costed me nothing, not even had to change the film ...
Love the digital more and more every day ...

Rotated 4 CW
Cropped
This place the face & forepaw more on a diagonal
Shaddow/highlight - S24%, Highlight 43%
Levels - moved slides to both ends of histogram
Selective colour, absolute - neautrals +8, Blacks +34
Severe USM, faded to 9@ opacity with soft light.
More in your face, and the left leg is not cropped on an awkward place - there are places to crop off members, it is a gut feel, so I hope you do not mind. I like the slightly warmer tones.

Hi, hope you don't mind, just played around with your image a little, red has been increased, blue decreased a little in 'Levels', 10% Contrast added, and a little USM (40%@0.7 with 0 Threshold). Also +5% saturation just to bring it out a little.
